Hello, i was wondering if i could use the optical output from my ps3 and connect it to the optical input of my sound card (ht omega striker) and have the sound output to the pc speakers (logitech x530)

hmm, i thought it would too, but the thing is, i can't get it to work =P. i tried setting my sound card up so that it will detect S/PDIF Inputs from my ps3 but nothing is really happening. btw i'm a huge noob when it comes to sound stuff. can anyone help me out?

the main thing i suggest is make sure you have "monitor" settings on.
"monitor" being the audio is played back as it is in-put. i hope this helps.
