Does anyone know how to recover files larger than 4gb from PS3 HDD?

Ryu i just tried the site that ninreznor mentioned,it will only allow the uploading of images,which i thought wasnt possible,but its images only,maybe there is another site that will let you upload movies,i will look.

Most of these sites have a maximum upload limit,so i think your movie will be far to big.
EDIT 2
I tried uploading with my Google E-Mail account,the only thing that can be accessed is the photos and nothing else,no Video and no Music.

Thanks Marcusita. You just saved me going through a pointless exercise. Thank you NinReznor for your thoughts... It was a good idea. It really is a shame it doesn't work. I have a feeling that this video file may be a permanent resident on my PS3. :-P

Could I just put the 8gb movie file on the CF and put that into the PS3 and watch it off the CF?

I thought I just answered that... No you can't do that unless you split the file into 4gb segments.

Have you tried streaming your movie to your PS3 from your PC via WMP11.

Found this thread on google, been looking for a way todo this myself.
Seems the solution might be to host a local intranet site, install Apache or IIS on a pc along with php and mysql, install some ready made CMS system that has a upload function/script.
This should give the same result as using the nakido.com site but without the filelimit, unless the ps3 browser has a builtin limit on filesize aswell.
