yeah it was one of the best shows i've been to... I wanna see Bullet for my Valentine again... They got the most energy outta the crowd i've seen in a long time. it was like crowdsurfing with your feet on the ground, the whole floor was packed and pushing against each other. i felt really badly for this one girl next to me, so i helped her get out of the mess...

Next concert i'm going to is Dream Theater... Will be recoding some stuff with my phone, again, its in the same place as my TOC recordings so it should come out good... Will upload on May 19th when i wake up from the night before =)

Ye, saw them the first time ever in australia!!!! (which was at the beginning of the year).
Rudess was awesome with his key-tar. Someone recorded the whole concert on an iriver.

Quite good quality. Please support this great band by buying thier albums and reporting fakes (there are alot of fake bootleg cds in 2nd rate yet reputable cd shops)

I also own all (actuall cds ordered from america) Jordan rudesses solo albums, John petruccis solo albums, liquid tension experiment and liquid trio album.

I don't like his voice much ,its the weakest link in the band

I saw KISS and Ozzy about 2 weeks ago in Sydney. Both were kick ass shows.

True, James' voice is not the best, but i DO like the lyrical content of a lot of the stuff he writes. All instrumentalists in the band are quite exceptional in their field, that's for sure.
Yeah we'll have to keep an eye out for Friday or Saturday show, Scott. We gotta go sometime though!

road trip it guys... thats what we're doing... its like an hour and half drive for us... well worth it though... pack the cooler and have some fun, that's what a concert is all about!

As fun as that would be, i KNOW i have to work the Wednesday after, and i'm sure Zoso does too. We'll probably just hang on for a weekend show to catch.
Ah...i miss the days of throwing everything to the wayside for a road trip.

The stuff he writes? Portnoy and Petrucci write most of the songs. (majority Petrucci). James wrote very few songs. I mean max 5.
He did write sacrificed sons and prophets of war though which are pretty good lyrical wise.

well yes and no... parts of this convo have gone off topic... but considering its the NEXT concert i'm going to it would be considered legit. and considering that DT is the headliner. talking about them, while slightly off topic isn't a complete violation... but that's just my interperation...
