Is there anyway to turn on only one PS3 from the controller. We may be getting a second PS3 very soon and we are concerned about being able to turn on the controller without turning both consoles. Anyone out there have any ideas about how to combat this.

It will only turn on the PS3 it's registered to. That's why you have to plug it in with a USB cord when you use it on another PS3.

Wow, I would think that all blutooth devices would work with each other. How does it work if I buy a new blutooth controller. Will it know to work wirelessly or do I have to use the USB cable?

You plug it in with the usb cable then hit the PS button and it will register itself with that particular system and no other unless you choose to register it with another.

Once you register the controller to the system it is bound to that system and will only turn on the system it is registered to.

That is actually great news, is there any way to de-register the controller so it can work on a new system? Same method with USB I assume.

Just take it to the other system, plug it in with a USB cable, and hit the PS button while it's on. Once you do that it's registered and will work fine wireless.
