Another PS3 price cut is coming, says iSuppli

The large research company iSuppli has said that it believes the Sony PlayStation 3 console will see another price cut during the course of 2008 leading to a huge Christmas for the system.
Analyst Pamela Tufegdzic is quoted as saying, "We anticipate Sony will have another price slash on the PS3 this year, and come Christmas, consumers who originally bought the Wii will likely purchase the PS3."

No harm, but the Wii is crap, had one for three weeks and got very bored with it.
And you can go on about sales figures etc etc, but for me its the PS3.

Hmm, it may be crap for you, but the one month that I did own one, I had a blast with it. I'm no hardcore gamer so I could see the Wii being an issue with people like that.
It's more of a get drunk and own some newbs at tennis or bowling and just have an all-around good time with friends console - to me anyways.

the wii is cheap, that why ppl buy it, it's like that new soda, well it's a dollar why shouldn't i try it? only a dollar.
Same thing happens with the wii
Sony stuff is so great that the past-gen console is still selling great,
Do u even remember how a xbox and a gamcube looks like? don't remind me the 360 .. red lights of hell plus dvd's , this is 2008 DVD's belong to the museum

i couldnt own a wii, iv never tried on but all that dancing around would get old real fast, they look cool but i can see how i would get bored real soon

Getting a little workout while playing video games could get old real fast? Yea, if you eat double cheeseburgers and slam down chocolate shakes all day, lol! The Wii is just what America needs, a simple workout while playing video games.

Also, the first car (Wii) you posted, I'm sure it does it's job well out on the streets of london, as it was intended to.

The other cars posted (PS3/360) do fine out on the Autobahn, as they were intended to.
The Wii was never suppose to be a hardcore graphics machine, like the PS3 and 360. It was meant to be fun for everyone and give you fat @sses a little workout in your lives. You can't compare the Wii to PS3/360, it just doesn't work.

Negative comments? I never made any negative comments about the images he posted. I simply made a statement that you can't compare the 360/PS3 to the Wii. They aren't on the same level.

That's the million dollar question! What happened to exercise in kids lives these days? Who knows...but I do know that the Wii will give these kids that sit around all day and do nothing but get fat a little workout. Now you got me sounding like some crazy workout advocate. I do enjoy working out, maybe that's what disgust me!

i have a wii and 2 ps3's in my house. nobody plays the wii and the ps3's are always on. the wii may be a fire hazard with all that dust on it.

hopefully this turns out to be a true prediction.
if the price drop happens, i will be fulfilling the other end.
originally i bought a wii, and i will buy the ps3 then.
i'd like to have one now, but there's been no price drop yet.
instead, sony removed components and took their value off of the price.
on another note, i wouldn't trade my wii for either of the others.
it's a great idea, and great games keep coming.
i've never claimed to be "hardcore," and never will,
but wii sports is the only casual game i own for it.
i've spent more on software i like to play than i did on the console,
and that's a good way to guage whether the console is worth the price.
for me, there aren't $500 worth of ps3 games to buy out there yet.

Why do people rave about Wii seriously, i purchased one from amazon for 170 great british pounds and played once instantly putting it onto ebay. As soon as Ps3 drops price and people actually see a wii there will be no competition.
