Obviously other than 3.90 M33-3 being the latest firmware, there's the 3.95 GEN. Say if the firmware was to be upgraded, will I have to change the theme back to the default xmb and disable the plugin before I continue to upgrade?
Edit: Also I want to ask, what's the difference of the FULL and LITE anyways?

Hi!my ctf theme isn´t working...I copied the cxmb folder into root of my ms and put ctf theme into G:/PSP/THEME and then i went to recovery mode and the to plugins and there wasnt cxmb.prx file it was some other that also end with prx. So i went to usb connection again, went to plugins and in vsh txt writed ˝cxmb.prx˝ :) .
So I went to recovery menu,to plugins and there was cxmb.prx and i enabled it, then went to exit but it didn´t boot the xmb menu... just black screen and green light and obout 10 seconds it tuned off.
But on my luck i still could went to recovery mode...
So what i´m doing wrong??

This doesn't work! I have 4.01 m33-2.
I put the cxmb from the LITE into the base of my memory stick along with the seplugins folder. I went to recover and enabled it and I don't have any other plugins. I added two .ctf files to my THEME folder and they aren't there. What's wrong?

Either you got the old version of CMXB ... or themes that are not for 4.01 M33

EDIT: I got this to work finally. I think people are going wrong because of the filenames of the folders for cxmb. Looking at the vsh.txt, the folder directories are cxmb/cxmb.prx, whereas when I copied the folder to my memory stick, the folder name was CXMB_LITE.
Basically, go into the folder called CXMB_LITE and "cut" the folder called "cxmb". Paste the "cxmb" folder to the root of your memory stick and delete the old "CXMB_LITE" folder.
Then you need to make sure the line of text in the seplugins folder is correct. Double click on vsh.txt in the seplugins folder. If you do not have this text file, create a text file using notepad and name it "vsh" - without the quotes. In the text file type the following: "ms0:/cxmb/cxmb.prx" - without the quotes. Save the text file and exit.
Now go into PSP>Themes and paste all CTF files there. When you restart your PSP go into the recovery menu and enable the CXMB plugin and make sure all other plugins are disabled. Now start your PSP, go into your themes settings, click on themes and select your CTF themes :)
i made sure i did all this,i enabled cxmb and disabled all the others, made sure every thing was renamed right, and ive tryed with about 3 different downloads... im running 5.02 gen-a and the ctf themes donteven show up in the theme folder any suggestions?? thanks to any one who replys!!

Ok new problem, I had to reformat my MS due to corrupted files I could not delete any other way. I reinstalled the cxmb and all the themes back on there and enabled the plugin but now all I get is the background wallpaper, no custom intro or custom icons like b4 any ideas on what I need to look at would be greatly appreciated.
A little more info. I put my other memory card in with the cxmb and themes and it works like it should. I pulled the cxmb and seplugins folders and copied to my desktop and popped my other memory card in and pasted those files into my root overwriting the old folders and no change just the wallpaper still. The olny difference in these memory cards is the one not working has the snes emulator on it and the other working does not bt I dont see why that would be a problem.

I had the same problem as you and it took me a good hour to get it working.
Try this.
First delete your original theme folder (the one with all the ptf. files in them)if you haven't done so already.
When you downloaded the CXMB and opened the 'LITE" folder there should be at least 3 folders. If you have an older version of CXMB, you must overwrite it. So grab those three folders and place them in the root of your mem stick, when it says to overwrite click 'yes to all'.
Don't worry if you think the original 'PSP folder is going to be wiped, basically what is doing is just adding the new PSP folder in, so when you open that folder it still has all the contents of the original.
So then go ahead and turn off the psp and enter the recovery menu and try diabling and then enabling the CXMB.prx just to be safe for your new changes!
Now turn on your psp> DONT BE ALARMED if you see no changes when you see the screen. Just apply your theme as normal, unlike ptf. themes ctf. themes will cause the psp to restart, so dont panic.
one last thing, not all ctf. themes will work with this current version, beware! :)
Just go into google type in '4.01 m33-2 ctf. themes' and find the ones that are suitable.
I hope this will work for you or anyone that has this version who has trouble with turning this amazing idea on, I know I did!

OK. ive had this prob b4. if ur running 3.71 m33-4, and ur custom theme wont work, it means ur ctf is for a higher version of firmware. [example]: ur running 3.71 m33-4, so u can only use 3.71 themes. the themes that arent working are for a different version of M33. so if u want 2 use those themes that say "internal error", update the firmware.
u can update 2 my firmware (5.00 M33-6) here:
http://downloads.exophase.com/pub/109
THIS firmware is much better, trust me :)
