well i was wondering what would be the best ps3 pack to buy 40 gb 60gb or 80gb i mean i was going to buy the 40gb but im just making sure if it is good or not

If you want to play PS2 games on it get the 80gb or preferably the 60gb, if not get the 40gb.

The 40gb is the newest model and runs cooler than the others, also it had its wifi slightly upgraded. That being said the 40gb absolutely cannot play PS2 games, and it only has 2 USB ports (though that can be easily solved with a cheap USB hub).

Yeah, the 60gb was discontinued a few months ago so they're increasingly hard to find. If you're lucky you might find one in say a buy/sell ad in a newspaper or a smaller game store or hobby shop.

the only reason i want the 60 gb is cause i have huge amount of ps2 games and my ps2 just broke cause of a dead fan and i thought of buying a ps3 WAIT DOES THAT MEAN IT doesnt get updates from sony????

No the updates are for all PS3 models, the updates aren't any different between them. I've got a 60gb myself and I'm running the newest version, 2.17. So you don't need to worry about that.

However if you have to file a warranty claim with Sony about it and you send in your 60gb they will likely send you back an 80gb or a 40gb and $100 for the difference in price.
