Can I play my BD movie Backup's on my PS3 yet?

Want to know if I will be able to play my BD Movie backups on my PS3 anytime soon? It plays all my DVD backup's but get stuck loading BD movies, it wants to load then after few seconds of spinning the disk it spits out an error (I'll have to get it and post it later).

Will new firmware update allow this functionality?

Have a PS3 with 320gb drive and Fedora core 5

The PS3 has been able to play BD-R's since day one. You must be doing something wrong with your back-up process.

Weird... using anydvdhd then burning with BD Burner drive using Nero8. Have also tried ripping BD on Linux (fedora core 5 on PS3) then burned ISO using BD burner.

Any thoughts?
