I am really wanting to invest in a PS3, but dont want to do it yet if it will have to be chipped. I have an xbox360 and psp and it was easy to flash the firmware for both of them. So is there any insight as to which one it will be? Ill hold off if it'll be chipped, but I will buy it if it will be a firmware flash.

Yes, funny. However, I thought I'd ask you guys what you expect since you are more involved in the PS3 scene than me. Are the various modding groups working on cfw or chips? Easy enough I think, but of course I will get some smart-ass comments from that too. I would assume it would be cfw seeing as how most of the consoles are ending up that way, but I thought maybe one group was working on chipping it.

it's not as easy as it use to be
i miss the dreamcast
i never ended up chippin' my xbox, too much of a hassle
i dont' have the time to keep updated on specs for these things anymore, tha's one of the reasons my wii collects dust
