a fix has been released for the dreambox and dbox so no need to enter the keys manually or upload the keys - the fix does this automatically

if you ask nicely who knows I may send you the file

you will need the box connected to your network as it involves uploading a file via FTP

I'm assumong this 'fix' is the updating of keys via FTP software. It's not so much a fix, as a band-aid. Only firmware will fix it.
it's quicker to enter codes via the remote than to keep taking the box to a PC for a fix.

sorry, couldnt resist that.......

this all happened before, quite a while ago, about 64 pages ago actually.

we all started putting the new keys in manually, about once every 3-4 days. then cg scott came up with a new image (thats firmware btw) he shared it with the world and we flashed our boxes.

voila all was well.

relax and watch this space i am confident chris will do the business again.

btw it is actually all still working fine here in ireland.

best of luck

working fine here in Manchester.
however the keys rolled twice Thursday, twice yesterday and once today. Manual input today took about 6 minutes from going off to new key coming out and box back on.

this fix is permanent as it automatically detects the new keys, writes them to a file and decrypts the channel

as we are on about a dreambox here no need for firmware upgrade just a simple case of updating a nagra binary file.

You need to delete ROM 10 and 11 if present and overwrite ROM 7. Restart EMU or reboot, up to you.

BTW we all know its down to the usual guy so thanks to him. Latest ROM file will be in Eamos soon.
