Dreambox 500T 500C Fixes here

Here is a new flashready image for the dreambox 500c for Ireland:

Download image file and unzip using winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar380.exe - rename image file to "backup.img".
Flash image file to dreambox, I use Dreamup: http://www.dreamboxshops.co.uk/dreambox/DreamUP.zip - and null modem connection. If you do not have one you will need to buy a null modem connection.
When it says do you want to flash erase click no.
reboot the dreambox and search for all your channels using Dublin NTL.
Press blue button on remote, to go to Tuxbox Commander.
Select var folder
select the bin folder
hightlight hypercam 1.06.
Press red button to execute,
press exit
press red button to SAVE settings and exit.
Tune to Sky Sports or Sky Movies and wait a minute or two, then change channel again.
All channels should now be available.
PLEASE NOTE: if you execute the hypercam more than once it will not work. Also when you plug the dreambox out all channels will be gone but you just have to execute the cam again

Just found that out westham88 after I plugged back in after saving the backup, thanks again.

Forgot to say to you Costellon PLEASE NOTE: if you execute the hypercam more than once it will not work. Also when you plug the dreambox out all channels will be gone but you just have to execute the cam again

YES!!! FINALLY big thanks to westham88 u are the dogs bollocks mate ,got dreambox 500c up and running thanks to ur guide in one of the recent threads all channels working whoop whoop ! struggled a bit with the ftp carry on but got there in the end. Cheers again matey x foockin typical someone goes n ups an image to flash straight on to box using just a null modem cable without having to arse about with ethernet and ftp which had me stumped,could you not have upped ur back up 2 days ago Costellon! lol well done mate alot easier for the noobs like me this way.

No problem for the help!! I could of uploaded my image but somebody already had a good few posts back so i just didnt upload mine. Anyway you having to ftp the box was good for you because now you will know how to do it for future

I only sussed out how to do it yesterday evening by following westham88's very clear instructions, my box has been sitting on top of my wardrobe for the last few months collecting dust.
Again, big thanks to all involved......now, what will I watch ?

lads this is goin to sound like a stupid question......... why when i connect my dreambox to my pc with my null cable nothing happens? im at this 4days now and im loosing the will to live

When you connect the box to the pc with dreamup open it should tell you to switch on your dreambox. Plug your box in and out and dreamup should recognise it then

When it says that Plug dreambox in and out and it will find it. I have to go but if you have anymore problems il be back on later tonight. Just follow the steps from then after and you should be fine

Have two db 500c,s one is perfect but the other ones picture is jumping all over the place,checked the signal strength,the good picture has
snr96%
agc39%
ber0
the other one is
snr 92%/93%
agc39%
ber is all over the place 20000+
what are these and how can i get a steady picture?

To get all the channels to scan in you have to use Dublin - Ireland NTL. They are in alphabetical order so you will have to go looking for it
Then to find hypercam:
Press blue button on remote, to go to Tuxbox Commander.
Select var folder - Should be the 4th from the end
select the bin folder - Should be the 1st one
hightlight hypercam 1.06. - Its the last one
Click ok on the hypercam 1.06
Press red button to execute,
press exit
press red button to SAVE settings and exit.
