Flash image DK1.1 to dream box ( use Dreamup and null modem connection.)
Image is found here: http://www.4shared.com/file/114534655/6ae49092/dk_v11.html
reboot the dreambox and search for all your channels using Dublin NTL
Connect your box to your router using a ethernet cable and to the tv
Go to expert setup, then comm setup and find out ip address for dreambox
Open filezilla (google it to find software)
Type in ip address in top left where it says host
Type in username- root and then password- dreambox
FTP the three files
and for the three files go to http://www.dvb-upload.com/index.php?action=download&pid=271910
hypercam. cfg
hypercam.keys
hypercam _1.06
into your VAR/BIN folder in the dreambox
when the files are in the VAR/BIN folder, right click on each of the files and change attributes on all three files from 644 to 755
reboot dreambox
Press blue button on remote, to go to Tux Commander.
Select var folder
select the bin folder
hightlight hypercam 1.06.
Press red button to execute,
press exit
press red button to SAVE settings and exit.
Tune to Sky Sports or Sky Movies and wait a minute or two, then change channel again.
All channels should now be available.

Westham...couldn't you make a backup of your image with all the goodies in it and upload it mate.
That way people can just use dreamup to flash it to theyre box.
I would do it myself but i am in scotland and have no way of testing it.
Although previously i did do the same for uk when we were stuck.
Only a suggestion mate.

That would be the easy way out. Its good to learn how to do these things. If they follow the clear instructions above they should have no problem in getting the box back up and working

If you check one my last few posts it will show you the steps on how to get it back. You need a null modem cable to connect box to pc and using dreamup you flash the image onto the box

May I be allowed to thank WESTHAM for a wonderful quick fix. I had learned how to FTP, Telnet, Flashwizard etc. some eighteen months ago but my computer has taken a hissy fit and will no longer allow me connect to the box via the crossover cable (a problem I sought help with on this thread some months ago, all to no avail).
As one who is works in education, I appreciate the encouragement to learn and understand the box architecture but it is surely evident that some members struggle with some of the more intricate facets of the box's functioning.
I can't see the harm in posting a readymade image. It doesn't prevent those who really want to learn from doing so. Yes, there may be lazy buggers who take advantage but why deprive those who are less technically competent?
No offence intended to anyone - just my opinion.
