Does anyone know when the release date for PS3 Home will be? They said for Spring 2008, and we're in Spring now, But I was wondering since its so close to release, maybe they would have an official release date by now?

Yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath about a spring release (although I do hope so lol).
I was just reading in the playstation magazine that they may push it back.

Again? Wtf is with that? Did'nt they go through enough testing for the damn thing. I know it has alot of features and stuff, but just release it already! lol. Oh well, guess I'll just wait. Thanks for the notice.

Theres supposedly a hack to get home on your PS3, but it might be fake. Some people were saying they tried it but couldnt get online with it. Even if it is real, im not risking it incase my account gets blocked or something. What would be the point in getting it early anyway, there will be no one there to talk to. :D I hope the beta is released this month but I really really doubt it. I bet it'll get pushed back again, but as long as GTA4 and MGS4 dont get pushed back im fine. Waiting till June 12th for MGS4 is bad enough but if GTA4 got pushed back aswell id cry like a little girl. :D

Patience...it is a virtue.
I'm looking forward to Home, but I'm not counting down the days. When it arrives, it arrives.

That's not weird I always do that! :) I forget about it and when I find it in my mail box or the mailman knocks on my door I'm surprised and happy.

The problem with Home is that people keep trying to leak the Damn Beta Version. Not only does it NOT work, you risk getting banned from PSN, and it might cause PS3 Home to be pushed back even further!

I know yeah, whats the point in risking getting banned and having the release date pushed back for something that dont even work.
We will have it eventually, just dont think about it. Im more bothered about MGS4 at the minute :D Plus we have GTAIV to tide us over, people will be so busy playing GTAIV that they might forget about home, and then it'll come out and people will be pleasantly suprised.
I reckon it'll come out around MGS4 though. June, July. Around that time i'll say.

I'm flat broke so I'm screwed in the GTA4 department; but yeah I agree they should stop f***ing around trying to break onto it because it wastes the dev's time making the release date that much further away. Its a freaking beta why would you want to risk getting banned and having it delayed just to play on essentially a buggy demo?

The thing is that home is such a big thing for Sony, and you only get one chance at launching a product right, so they are finally taking there time. In the past Sony have done so many half-cocked launches of products where they push stuff out unfinished and fix it later, and its come back to bite them on the ass every time.
Taking there time and making it actually work how its intended is worth the wait, for both us and them.

I see what you mean... coughsixaxiscough... But people trying to crack the game certainly doesn't help things if they're trying to make it perfect; its not like its gonna cost money down the road but if they've got a huge number of people breaking into home it could overload their servers, I highly doubt their servers have the capacity for a large number of people in the beta phase.

I was wondering, when Home comes out, is it gonna be released through an Update, or through the PS Store. And is it gonna be free?

Firmware update, free, and only "premium" items will be bought using the PS store.

Im guessing stuff like extra furniture to buy, so you can put in your virtual apartment :)

Well do you or do you not want to be a virtual pimp lol.... wow just thinking about that is sad ^.^'
Anyway the only things I'd be paying for is to upgrade the apartment size and to buy the biggest ass TV I can, so me and my clan buddies can watch pirated movies together =D Bwhahaha

I knew there must have been a catch. With HOME being free and all. Im pretty sure you will have to pay to have a pimped out apartment. Hope they are 99cents like the additional characters you can get in Pain and Bowling. That big ass TV may be extra. Cant wait to see how it works.

But I heard you can like go to the theatres and donwload movies, go to the game store and download demos, etc etc. So does this mean that the new PS store is useless? Either that or home is coming in a very long time... Unfortunately

Not everyone is gonna play Home, so the PS Store will still be used alot. Plus its easier than having to load up Home all the time to buy games. I still think the Beta should be released soon, as long as people don't try using the leaked copy, and end up making us wait even longer. But I just keep checking back at this site: http://www.homebetatrial.com/
Although I think its just the European site. Im thinking they would still have info on it?
