MS 25 bricked or not?

Just an after thought...

Ive not been to the forums for a while but when i forst flashed the xox360 everyone insisted on burning with a pioneer drive and onto verbs at 2.4 speed..

Has this thinking also changed?

The verbs i have or get locally say they are 2.4X can i still burn these faster and be OK?

Yep, 4x works great. As long as you're not using 12x firmware.

I didnt realise that, perhaps thats why its not working for me, I have an Nforce chipset with onboard sata,
I have ordered a sata card that has the VIA chipset do you think that will make the difference?
If this is what my problem is can i get a way round this to see if i can reflash this drive?

I have the same chipset and as long as the FW reposts as an MS25 it was ok but needed the VIA card in the end... for a sammy hitachi and others may be different.

The VIA 6421 will flash every drive (even the Hitachi 79 properly fitted with a passkey first)


Also, I burn every game at 4x and no problems with ALL 3 brand's 12x fw.
