PS3 has a built in wireless adaptor. Buy a wireless router and the PS3 will connect straight to it.
Wireless routers have wired ethernet ports going out. Run a cable from your modem to the wifi router, then a cable out of the router to your PC. Then setup your ps3 wifi and, as long as you are in range of the router signal, you should have wifi to the ps3 and hardwire to the PC.
