How to connect PS3 to a fujitsu siemens 19

i have just purchased a new 19" monitor and i am enquiring about how to connect my ps3 to it.



my monitor is Fujitsu Siemens scaleoview D19-1



and my playstation 3 is 60 GB



i do not no if the monitor is hdcp



i have connected a Dvi to Hdmi adaptor so that i can connect the ps3 via hdmi. the monitor detects the Dvi input bt it remains a black screen. i have held down the power button to reset the resolution and have selected the option to turn on HDMI and have turned off 1080p, bt still the monitor remains a black screen



bt i am hoping you could find out and can provide a solution. the Ps3 fw is 2.35 if this helps.

Likely it is because your monitor is not HDCP, the only other reason would be that the brightness, contrast, or possibly mode of the monitor is way off.
