Its simple enough when you say you have the files etc what one are you using as it depends were you are Eire/ UK.do you have the Null Modem Cable? if so do the following:

UPLOADING SOFTWARE TUTORIAL
1. Plug your box in at the mains;
2. Plug in null modem cable and join up box with
PC using COM port on PC (there is only one socket for
this on the Starview you cant go wrong);
3. Open up GTRom loader or whatever software you have
for loading image on the box.
4. Click on "BIN File" on GTRom and load the
Auto update BIN File file that you have

5. Now click download button and you will see the
file being downloaded.
6. Once complete a mssage will apppears saying
something like "download successful".
7.Ideally you should try and get a bin file channel
list for your area and load this as well it will save a lot of time.
8. Alterantively, plug box in and press Menu on
remote, installation, choose your cable provider,
then move down to automatic scan and press ok.
9. Once all channels have been found press exit back to TV screen.
10. Now press menu, parental control, press ok.
Now press i then 2004. Move down to Key Emu and change option
to on. Press ok , then exit back to TV Screen.
11. Go to Sly Spots and wait on keys updating.
12 That should be you.

i have done this but i havent lost any of my channels so have i done it wrong im in ireland but the provider is saying tw should this be ntl i havent as clue if i have done it wrong or not

Change the TW to N*L
Press 1570 on remote and turn the EMU back on

then press DEFAULT KEY...then turn EMU on and EXIT.
return to main tv screen and wait for the code to update this could go as high as 250% just be patient and do not change the channel
until it has finished otherwise you will have to start all over again

Pres menu.. then press 1570 this brings you into a secret menu... you will see EMU at the bottom turn on/ off also here you will see DEfault press that and then exit..exit and you should be sorted

shouldnt really...

if you press language /english/check your provider at the top/ autoscan/ exit once you should see EMU, turn ON/exit to screen/ put on sky spots it should work...I have to go out shortly...but someone will give you a hand or else I will be back tonight and sort it !!

hi the box said no signal which it never has said before,there wasnt even 1,2,3 and 4 i have legit virgin box upstairs and thats fine,im in leicester and on virgin/ntl

Then it is a problem with your cable feed to the box, check it carefully to make sure it is nice and tight and all is OK it may even have come out, because "no signal" means exactly that.
