when you are scanning are you using main cable and not using a splitter or extension lead if so try without them and see

Could be a tp problem in certain areas as i have not had any problems getting the freq on my boxes

I think that I have a major problem with my Starview "The box".
I've done something within the user setup menu which has left me with a box which has a picture that is in black and white and is also jumping.
Does anybody know .. is there a complete user menu reset code which will stop this so that I can re-configure this menu from scratch.
Any chance of help with this, what I think has now become a serious problem,tonight.

scOuser, many thanks for the help. It is much appreciated. After I posted my last message, I tried to solve the problem and I found that it was the tv's fault. I re-scanned the tv. ch. and it somehow returned.
So everything is as it was.

It does not really matter what the issue is as long as it is starview related as that is what it says on the top starview

Starview 2 The box is the thread so once its starview this thread is ok. thats why it was started.

Hi there,

My Starview 2 "The Box" is f00ked.

I just get 'No Signal' up on the screen and no matter what i do, it remails the same.

I made sure all connectrions are where they should be.
I switched scart leads etc... (basically everything thats in the thread here) and noting helps.


Is this happening many people?

take your cable out of the box and plug directly into your tv and see if you have any channels that way you can rule out the cable being the problem then check to see that you put the cable into the cable input on your box

theres been a lot of freq changes lately...here is a list of new ones ...hope this helps.

My box usually updates them automatically?

Should i still try the manual imput?

Did you check the cable like i said if you are getting a message saying no signal that is what it means no signal from the cable to the box take the cable out of the box and plug it directly into the back of the tv set and see if you are getting any channels on it

i did a factory reset and did an automatic scan and they all came back...its worth a try...wont do any harm!
p.s did you do what fergus said and check you have a signal coming in to the house?

im afraid so!!you have to get the basic deal from n#l and then the box does the rest...have to make a phone call tomorrow so!!lol

ring a mate that lives in the same area and see if its just you that has no channels.

I'm sorry but there is no code posting/requests or linking where you can get them allowed anymore on this site.

Update your box and you won't need them.
