have a genuine starview 2 THE BOX which has been working fine for months, everything in order firmware etc. today when it was turned on it got stuck on THE BOX logo and cant get past this. i have tried the search but they are all answers on bad flashes. any one in the know? thanks

have you tryed the obvious and turned it off at the back for a few moments

yeah tried turning it off at the back, unplug it, disconnect from everything and re connect all the usual stuff but still nothing

you no yourself these things have a mind of there own, mine stuck yesterday and i switched it off for a few mins and it was ok,they are like everything electrical some are faulty.

yeah know a bit but you know yourself we still come across things that baffles us.its been a while since i was on here all right, too long, jaysus i could be reading solid for 6 months to catch up, i see there has been a few changes codes etc

For the sv1 - if youve factory reset - flashed your box - auto scanned and turned on EMU & still no spy shorts - Try "set default key" before you set EMU on - It works for me!

tried to re flash the box , it wouldn't work using normal prodeure so used the bad flash guide and everything went as it should have but the box is still frozen on THE BOX logo part.it wont respond to anything on the remote.any ideas would be appreciated. thanks

I would say you have loaded the box firmware to the starview 1 which will not work i suggest you go back to eamos library and get the correct firmware for your starview box either the cryptstar v4.00 for genuine box or the v2.57 for the clone one please check which you have before you upload to your box

try this courtesy of malci for future reference if you ever want to go above then I bet you have not done it correctly - as regards the 4.52,53,54, using GTRom 4.00 is no good - this is the procedure :- From v4.50/51 you must - Use the New Improved GTrom Loader Ver 4.03 for example >>>>>>>
First flash thebox_H20070814_452eE_api.bin to your box with the new GTRom.4.3
(select as App file only)
Then flash thebox_logobg.bin to your box using the new GTRom.
(select Background Data File)
Version 4.53 For UK
If you are upgrading from 4.51 or earlier you must flash 4.53 first. then flash the logo file. If you already have the 4.52 on just flash the 4.53 straight on no need for the logo file, you must use the 4.3 loader.
Version 4.54 for UK & Ireland
If you are upgrading from 4.51 or earlier then flash 4.54 first then afterwards flash the logo file. If you already have 4.52 on or later then just flash the 4.54 straight on without it. You must use the new Loader Software v4.3
I find the 4.51 UK much more stable, but it's an individual choice, but that is the procedure above.

idk where to place this so here will have to do ...does anyone else have the same problem that is when the starviewbox 1 is on there seems and defo is a backround noise of music its as if my box is a double system im wacthng deadlist cacth & @ the same moment its playng rhiana real low but no less annoying i mean i cant even see her wink wink hope som1 will help wth this prob .cherz .

No reflash mainly because idk how but besides i dnt think i have the rigth cables anyway.yeah so Weird rith the thing must be a bit abnormal so. maybe its a 1 off uniuqe box

the cable works fine on tv it just says no sigal on them 2 channels

oh i see your in the uk are you?? reset the box and rescan it then menu 1570 turn emu on hit default ket put it back to sky sports for e.g let it update and that should be you
