I don't mean to burst your bubble by any means but those aren't gaming routers. And why do you want a second router if you already have one downstairs? Is it because you using the 20gig model?

And what router do you have downstairs currently?

A gaming router is essentially a high powered router with extra features that allow someone to fine tune their setup to gear more towards gaming. They typically have QoS engines which give online game connections priority over other connections.

What your looking for is a wireless game adaptor, not a router. You should either get this one:

Or if your on a tight budget get this one:

EXACTLY! I have an original 20. My router/cable modem is in the basement too. My room, with the PS3 (and my computers), is two floors up.

All you need is a wireless game adapter. The game adapter plugs into the PS3 and it starts to receive the wireless internet. It's that simple. You can even plug the game adapter into a computer that is hooked up wirelessly and set up all your settings. That way, when you plug it into the PS3, it's good to go (especially useful if you're behind a firewall with a password etc.)

The one that I use is made by linksys. I don't have the exact model number since I'm at work but it has worked like a charm. I NEVER have any connectivity issues and have never experienced any lag, unless it was coming from the host (which has happened a couple of times during COD 4).
