people have said that they know how to back-up dvds bigger than 4.36GB to one dvd-r with one dvd drive but i cannot figure out how to. if anyone knows how to posted info would be greatly appreciated.
This site is busting at the seams with guides, instructions, thousands of posts on how to do it, and you didn't even take ten seconds to read any of it. Sheeesh.
I got my pioneer burner yesterday and I've been using the CloneDVD and ANYdvd combo with great success. I admit, i've been using a dvd reader as well. but the process is the same, just use a ripping program such as shrink, decrypter, CloneDVD etc, make store the files to the hard-drive, remove original dvd, insert blank dvd, burn the files from you Hard drive back to your dvd, really, theres not much to it. I hadn't done any of this stuff before. I read this forum for about an hour, went out grabbed my first burner, came home, within an hour I'd made a succesful back-up of a 6.5gig movie.
If u use Nero, drag these shrink output files into the VIDEO_TS folder that Nero provides in DVD-Video mode.
If u use sumthin other than Nero, put the shrink output files into a folder named VIDEO_TS and burn it onto a dvdr in UDF-ISO data mode, along with an empty folder named AUDIO_TS.
Watch yer movie.
Simple, and takes less than an hour.
Please....if u post again, include what you've used, what you've done, and what *problem* yer having. If you don't, I won't reply again.
