So you have got all the channel listing but none of them work is that what your saying?

Make sure theres no problems in your area and if not do as below.

Menu> Config> Then ok on Clear data,
Type 0000 or 1004,
Ok on Erase all channels then ok again.

wait for it to clear all channel data then,

Press Menu along to instalation, Press ok type 0000.

Now press powerscan "the Yellow button",

a box will then load like this

Enter the information as above is start at 100.00 stop at 700.00 then click ok to scan and wait for the result,

May take a while to scan,
best of luck.

lads, im having problems.

got my ex 5000, scanned it on all the mbauds, and at the end of the scan, its no channels. No Transponders at all. Havent done any downloads yet, just hooked it straight to the pipe, but the four zero's were on when i turned it on (does that mean it was flashed??,havent a clue what that means) so i figured id just do the fast scan.

Karljd has been helping me, if you could give me some more mate, or anyone else, id really appreciate it.

Hi Karl,

I have just got new Eurovox EX5000 PVR. I have downloaded firmware onto laptop. When I connect cabes and try to download message Com 3.... The receiver was not detected.

I have tried switching ports - to no avail. Can you point me in right direction??

As always, your help is much appreciated

Hey Karl (or anyone else out there who can help!). In addition to my last posting....
when attempting to download firmward it gives me options of Com 1 - Com 4 inclusive. However, when I checked properties of port USB cable connection "USB-Serial CH340 (Com 5)" appears.... This is wrecking my head.... Any ideas on how to get signal from PVR received on computer??

My EV 5000 works well, BUT: every few days some channel or other doesn't work, and it appears black with message "Scrambled Channel"; I can fix it by doing a manual scan for the channel frequency of that channel, but then the box updates the "new" channels it has found, and updates the CDF/Favorites, thereby upsetting some of my channel listings, and also adds some channels into favorites which I didn't want (e.g:Adult channels: I have kids!!). Why does it "lose" some channels, and any way I can prevent this? Can "Autosort" be turned off?
Would appreciate help!!
Thanks
