Personally i think one day or the other, we're all going to experience some major issues, just hope that these updated firmwares keep us going for as long as possible, and hope that a miracle happens. :|

Quote from Cybercop, at your side the water >>>>>>

Update for Ireland

Adult channel
Playboy
Tvx
The box
Zee tv
Chelsea
Celtic
Lfc

These channels have now moved to N3 so it wont matter how many times you scan your box you will not get them back and its only a matter of time before more move up the tree and at the present time there does not look like there is likely to be a fix for a while to come so enjoy what you have for the moment

I'm in the North Cheshire area, ex C&W, round here MUFC, ITV2 and ITV3 went missing.

MUFC was frequency 682, the other 2 were on 290.

I did a Channel Update, and all three re-appeared at the end of my channel list, all now on frequency 426.

Assume you're in the Leeds area, so frequencies probably different than here, but a Channel Update or, failing that full scan should get your channels back.

Can't do any harm anyway. Hope this helps.

Yes, they came back as new channels on a different frequency, 426.

You'll probably have the titles still showing in your channel listings which don't work, after the channel update look through all your channels, they should be there, may not show say, MUFC TV, may be just TVCH 4 or something.

hi there they are changing the frequencies on a lot of channels so your best bet would be, do a full powerscan ,.should find all missing channels.

Erm, were all talking about Republic of Ireland here, your in the uk!!

Your going to start confusing people by saying "how you got MUTV" back.

Theres no reason why you wouldnt, your in the UK, all channells are still Nagra 1.

People loosing channels in ireland cannot get them back by a rescan, they are now running on Nagra3.

sorry gazza if you didnt find them after powerscan then its likely you wont get them back as some channels have switched to nagra 3 and its likely more will follow, i think its just ireland at the momment who are effected,i know hackers are working on it, but to how long it takes to sort out is anybodies guess.

losing channels in ireland seems to be mainly sports channels like setanta sp 1 & 2 & some club channels. Also adult channels gone
cannot get them back by a rescan.
I read previously someone said they are now running on Nagra3 ? Sorry if silly q but what`s that mean ?
Is there a counter that the eurovox max can do to this ?

Virgin is preparing the launch of Nagra Vision version 3 smart cards to further enhance network security for its Cable TV customers. These new smart cards will increase the encryption capabilities of the existing set top boxes and introduce new features for blocking access to non paying customers and enhanced "On Demand" security. It is rumoured that Virgin is planning to issue all customers with new smart cards as part of a "self install" policy. Watch this space for more information as soon as its available.
