sorry guys for the possible obvious question- Is there a Nagra 2 fix for the Eurovox Max V for Ireland? And if not, is there any rumour of one in the pipeline?
Im asking for a friend , you legends already have my EX5000 pvr back working, kings among men! thanks for reading,

THERE IS NO FIX FOR THE E/VOX BLUE - RED OR MAX V, IF A FIX BECOMES AVAILABLE HITECK WILL DISPLAY THE UPDATE ON THE FIRST PAGE OF THIS FORUM

read my post again,i never said to count all the vents.This is a red box as you can see it measures 8 vents from the rf in(tuner)
this is a blue box as you can see its measures 12 vents ok.

Is their any hope for a fix for the Eurovox max red ???
Can anyone give me advise on what would be the best box to buy for N*l Ireland at the mo please

Im asking is their any hope ..
Im well aware how efficent Hi Teck is but im clutching at straws
and wondering is it envisaged that it will ever happen or is the Eurovox max red beyond a fix ???
Also I asked about advice with regard to what box would be more suitable for N*L Ireland and cost effective

More than likely beyond a fix as far as im aware but never say never.. Keep an eye on the first page ye never know
In regards to buying a new box i personally have a E/Vox EX1000SL which i find brilliant very user friendly.
A friend also has the box super USB which has a fantastic reception and again very user friendly.
But thats all ive had dealings with.

Missing a few channels on EUROVOX 5000PVR. Disc+1, Disc Sci, Smash hits & a few other music Chans. In Dublin. Did all the usual scans with no success. All other chans are fine. Anyone got the channel list file I can download>
Any Sugestions?

If you read up on the differance you will see that, they are indeed different, one is still on n1 the other on N2, MMDS is different again, thats what happens when one company buys to different ones,

If 150,000Mhz is not on list follow prompts to add manually
When added tick 150,000 + hit blue (man.scan) + check missing chls.
If still absent go to User INSTALLATION + Hit red (update chls).

You probably have them all. I'm not in Dublin area so wasn't sure of
no.of active transponders in your area i.e. 13/14
What you should do now is sort out your FAV. lists + save CHl. data
on desktop. When sure chl.data is saved do POWER-SCAN 200- 600Mhz
When done add in 150Mhz manually, now look in User INST. + see are there any new transponders found.
Download VOXER(ch. editor) + open CHL. data file with voxer.
Now compare Chl.data file to chls. now on eurovox.
Any new chls. found by POWER-SCAN can be manually added to CHL.data
file in VOXER. Be sure to save any changes to CHL.data in VOXER.
When complete Download chl. data file to eurovox.
Try Eomo's for VOXER, P.M. me if you can't find it.

I prefer to let novice scan for chls. + arrange his/her own fav.lists,
save data, + use VOXER to edit chl. lists to own personal choices.
If UPC are unable(for technical or financial reasons)to roll out N3
the main weapon remaing in their armoury is to change transponder freqs.
This fu**ed up a lot of people in the past. If punters have VOXER they
can scan box & add new freqs. manually to T.P.lists.
But if they just want to watch TV(end of story) CDF files are straight
from heaven.

Yea but if they just keep changing the freq, a few press's of buttons on the remote to scan for the new freq and bob's your uncle, back in action
