Hi
i have a starview box 2 and i began losing channels a few weeks ago tried a reset today and it keeps saying updating like it did before the fix at the start of the month.

by the way if have version 8.02 after the previous fix is this the correct firmware or should i have 4.57

4.57 for Ireland mate or 4.55 for the UK.

Hi i just updated it to firmware 4.55 the channels have now all reappered but it still keeps updating in a continuos circle.

thanks your help i reloaded 8.02 on and then 4.55 and it is now working

Hi, i got EXACTLY the same the problem in Galway, went through those steps but dint work...any ideas?
Touche!! Did as above and have SETANTA Ireland and RTE 1 only...
However, i add that i have not and havnt a clue about the firmware update?? didnt even know u could do that....
I'm having same prolem as above, restored factory settings and rescanned channels but in an updating loop for most channels with only RTE 1 and S-tanta showing up.
From reading the threads i figure i need to update the software on my Starvi3w 3. Not having the correct adaptors or inclination to spend a weekend on it i'm wondering if there is someone/where in the dublin area for help getting the box flashed and updated. cheers in advance

Latly some channels have gone Kerrangg,Diccov, etc most are there but some missing any ideas..

Delete the affected channels and do a manual scan. The channels will appear at the end of your channel list. They should now be ok.

I've got a s***view 1 been gone down for about a month. Is there any new fix out there friend told me only 3-4 can be fixed now. Is this true , any one know better.

no there is fixs here file 400 for real starview 1 257 for clone http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/722659 ,, go into menu on your box down to system info press ok see what version you have

i am having the same problem as barney.
i live in naas. have the chorus standard package which is working fine on normal tv.
my super usb box did work in december, for all channels.
now only rte one and channel south work.
the other channels with a dollar sign do not work.
i have uploaded firmware version 1.07.bin. makes no difference.
has anyone else is the naas/kildare area had the same problem and found a fix. please let me know.

Can you tell me the frequency for discovery + 1 to do a manual scan, i did a rescan and it didn't come back for some reason - anyone else have this problem?

Hi Eva... were you been hiding ? LOL
thats on 394.250 however there is a problem at the moment with this frequency there are a few channels on it and none of them are working!
