Lads, a friend of mine has a "The BOX" digital receiver. it went about 2 months ago. i tried to load the 4.57 firmware on to the box but it still comes up with the message "code updating".

Any ideas what i need to do?

Dude you have to manually put in the codes we are not allowed give them here but if you have a working box somewhere else you can copy them over, only a few shitty channels like porn and sports are gone the rest are still here for now, there is a freeware software program called "keymaster v1.2" download it it will give you the codes for your area if you are in the rep ireland use the Ireland NTHell key 5401 and it will give you the codes for the box its easyer then it sounds im taking you know how to get to the secret menu so you can manually input codes its the only way it worksand it does work i just did it 5 mins ago write back if you need help

There is no fixes for any other boxes at the present time except the KRYPTVIEW BOX so if someone tells you there is ignore them you will all know when there is it will be all over the place trust me

Thanks Fergusrb, so i'll just tell him to rescan his box on chorus and his box should work.

Do you know why i had to manually put in the code. My eurovox box just picked up the code after i flashed it.

yes chorus has not been effected at the present time

and yes after flashing your box the box will update but if you are on NTL you will be missing the 12 channels just like everyone else

except Kryptview box owners as they still have all the channels working 100%
