Hi guys first post on this site just had a couple questions. I have been researching getting a LCD tv or a monitor to play my PS3 on as my current tv isn't HD and I am finally fed up with it and I want to get the most out of my ps3. I kind of decided on getting a monitor over a tv because it seems less expensive and I am between these two monitors any opinions on which one I should get?

Thanks for any and all help the max I am looking to spend it $600 so if someone can recommend a tv over these monitors i'm open to that as well. One other thing this will be used as my primary computer monitor whether it's a monitor or a tv and then to play ps3 and watch bluray movies on. I guess if I went with a tv I would hook up my comcast with it but im just more interested in it looking good for ps3 and with my computer.

I got a Vizio HDTV (only 22") from costco. Hooked my ps3 to it with HDMI cable and it run at 1080p. Crystal clear image on both games and movies. Far better than my xbox 360 @ 1080i with the component cable.I would really recommend you to use Vizio product. They're affordable HDTV with quality image that can be compare to brand names like Samsung/Sony, etc... If you can get it straight from your local Costco for the best deal on Vizio products.

Cnet actually says that the Gateway monitor you have is kinda crappy and that the 24" BenQ I am looking at is much better. Read the review on your monitor at cnet if you don't believe me they say not to buy it and I usually trust them.

As far as the vizio goes they seem to be ok but as this will be mainly used as a computer monitor will the Vizio do the job?

I went ahead and got the 28" Full HP 1080p Hannspree monitor and I love it PS3 looks really good on it and so does my PC it has two HDMI ports which is what I am using for my PC/PS3. They sell it at BB for $579. Definitely something to look at if your in the market for a new monitor.

I went ahead and got a HANNSpree 28" Full HD (1080p) monitor for $579 from BB. My PC looks great on it and so does my PS3 and since I am sitting close to it the 28" feels like it's much bigger.

I bought a Bravia before my Vizio and on that same day the Bravia gave me the STUCK PIXEL!. ON THE VERY FIRST DAY OF PURCHASE -_-. Tried every method available on the net to get it off but it won't go off. I gave up on sony LCD tv completely now as for their overpriced and crappy parts quality. It is true their image quality is top notch. But imo the Panosonic LCD TV are alot better in image quality. All Sony LCD i have had in the past are like this. They either got stuck pixels after a few day or dead pixels -_-. May be it just my bad luck with Sony's LCD screen. But I've had this Vizio for 2months+ now and I've been gaming and watching tv/movies and Computer usage on it alot and it has yet to show a stuck/dead pixel or any defect. It runs my PS3 at 1080p even thought it's not full 1080p but not really alot of different imo when i watch a same thing on a full 1080p Sony tv @ BBV with PS3 hooked up to it through hdmi.
