I am trying to set one of these up on NThell. I have tried scanning on all available symbol rates but i get no channels. Signal on some frequencies is showing at 98% but quality does not get above 30%. No active transponders are are showing.
Please help!!!

Yep but is your feed live? If you plug the coax directly into the back of the TV do you get many channels?

Hi, i have tried the co-ax. direct into the TV and it is not coming up with any channels. I guess this means the feed is not live? I thought if there was a box then they the feed was there?
How can i get the feed switched on?
Cheers

If you have BB then you have a live feed. Make sure your BB isnt connected when you are scanning from that point. Although you may have cabling issues also as you have no feed in the other room?

Just got a EX5000 with a 120GB HDD. Sorry to be a bit clueless but I have downloaded the new firmware from Eamo and am ready to use it with the null modem cable.
I'm a bit unsure though, my pc is nowhere near my tv and where the pvr box will be. Can I do the necessary installations on with the pc then unplug the Eurovox to take it to the tv and connect it to the cable + tv?
Also I have 2 normal virgin boxes at the moment. One in the living room and I had another installed a while later in the bedroom. I only intend to get this one Eurovox. Does this have to be used on the first line in - ie the living room. I believe they used a junction box to then send another cable signal to the bedroom when I had the latter box fitted.

You can use this on any live feed, you could use this in the Lounge and move your other box to the bedroom. You can flash the box and then move it, that's not a problem. The memory is non-volatile

Need some help. Just got a eurovox 5000 PVR. I'm with ntl. Followed all the instructions to the letter, plus some which I got from this site when setting up box. Went through the scanning process, green bars for progress and quality (which i thought was a good sign), but no channels came up. I'm in Dublin. My connection with NTL is perfect. What am I doing wrong, or have I just wasted ?130. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply. No I haven't. I presumed as it was straight from the factory it would have the latest software. Will this help and if so is there a link to the latest software?

Latest firmware is 1.1 and you will find it in the Eurovox folder in Eamos at the bottom of my post. All, (well nearly all), boxes are sold as FTA only when shipped.

No, but I've been reading there are problems with size, some drives wont fit. I'm not too concerned, it would be nice if I could get it up and running, but for now I just want to get my channels sorted. is there a drive that you could recommend?
