I beg to differ. With the release of 2.40 and 2.41 the bluetooth and wifi interfere with each other. I've had several friends on the PSN that were experiencing problems. If you are noticing a connection problem and are running wireless then try wiring your connection. This has helped several of my friends. This is also why the PSN seems like it is lagging. There are people that don't want to admit to there lag and continue to run wireless. I've posted this on three different boards, but it seems as though no one wants to believe me.

Interesting, what could they have done to do that? Up the power output on the wifi?
I'm not sure, but I have posted this on several forums and I'm treated like a retard. I can't tell you from experience because I'm wired but I have told about 6 people to go wired and all the 2.4 connection problems clear up for these people.
Concerning wireless, it depends also on which ps3 you bought. With the release of the PS3 bundle w/mgs4 you technically now have... what 4 versions I think? Also just for the record; blue tooth and wifi are two entirely different bandwidths altogether; although they do use 2.4 ghz. each one HAS its own dedicated signal. If it wasn't set up this way it cause a backlash effect with other devices to.
For example - universal remotes, wireless phones. Because most remotes due work on a similar frequency range, even though it is radio frequency, as wifi any conflict that extensive would cause a remote to act as if the batteries had died. (Think... hitting the power button while near microwave cooking popcorn... you may have to move away in order for it to work.) Because wireless phones (Not cell but house type), can also use the 2.4ghz range that some wireless routers use it would likely cause the phone to cut out (Think dial-up model days and you'd have the right idea.)
All I'm saying here is that there should not be any interference, now could there be; definitely! The problem: you'd need to have devices that use the same tech to determine this. If you have blue tooth headphones that would be a great of telling if you have a problem.
One final aspect... I'd like to remind anyone reading this that the problems could be hardware related. Not as not the PS3, but the router. With the upcoming completion of the N standard this update could be trying to find this, but is finding G standard equipment... my guess; try just killing the power to the wireless device WITH your computer off, and make sure only the PS3 is hooked up, and turn it the console. Make sure you first get a not connected status, and then fire up the router. Here's the other kick in the butt, this update may also be looking for giga bit, which is also apart of the N standard,if this the case... got a whole other can of worms.
