I have recently tried to use DVD Shrink, and ran into problems with the program. Do you have to change anything from the default program install or is it good out of the "box". I have burned about a half dozen movies know and am running into problems with what looks like skipping?!?!?! It doesnt appear as though anything is going wrong in any of the DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink processes. Does anyone have some input on this I have currently coastered about 4 out of the 6 backups generated!

asrob, did you stick labels on your discs? if so that could be a problem... labels can unbalance the disc and wont play well in some DVD players.

Cheap or poor quality blank media is a common problem. Make sure you use good media.

I d-loaded the shrink and used it "from the box" with no probs whatsoever
i think you should look in another direction for the cause (slow h-drive/not enough megs/small processor)
let me know how you get on jt@myrotherham.com

I think cheap media cost more, in the long run between time and coasters might as well spend the extra $$$ and not have any worries. But you realy do have to know what kind of media your burner works best with

Asrob: It may not be the media, my Toshiba DVD player does the same thing when I use DVD-R media. When I play them on my Apex they play fine. You might try one of your movies in a friends player and see what happens. By the way the Toshiba does fine with DVD+R media. I hope this helps.
