I think Dark Alex Is doing something to the PS3 becuase on his site it has some links to ps3 hacks and stuff like that but i want to know what people think,// could the PS3 could be hacked?
I think SOMEONE will find a exploit in a game like resistance (example) and then use that as the Modding just like the psp and lumines and then dark alex to make a emulator or something like that, whats the security like on a PS3???

how many times the ps3 cant be hacked cause theres nothing powerfull enough too hack it it rivals many standalone pc's
everysingle bit of data used to 'make up' the ps3 and xmb has its own keys and locks.
ever wondered why sony makes you update the firmware almost once every 2 weeks in order to play a certain game ?
well its infact to simply remove any possible chance of a hack being developed and exploited in any perios of time everytime sony updates the hackers have to start from scratch.
DA is a F ing psp c/w firmware devloper the ps3 is about 50x powerfuller and has 50x better sercurity
the only hope in hell of hacking a ps3 is somebody from the inside to help.

good point but i bet theres some exploit they dont know about,,, well the PS3 has been out for a while and its already been hacked partilly by the flash games etc,,,, i hope to god someone helps!

No online gaming, No PS Store, No Games Update/fixes/patches.
Cause all that IMO PS3 wont be hacked, and if ... sony will release a FW update instantly.
PS3 might be hack but playing iso on it might be a challenge because the size of some game in the future. A BD can contain about 50gb of data. And even if you're going to play back ups 25$ for a blank BD @_@ and like what for a BD burner? 150-200$ nowaday? It's really not worth it imo. You might lose your online abilities as someone mentioned. May be war has changed. Sony had learned their lesson from the PSP so yes the casually fw updates for the ps3 are for sole purpose of preventing their encrypted codes to be decrypted, hacking might just not worth the time anymore. But who know. Nothing is impossible. There are geniuses out there doing what they can. But imo I would say 85% that the PS3 won't be hacked.
