Hi, I'm experiencing the same issues many others seem to have. My ps3 has ceased to read or spin disks. Any type of disk i put in will not read, they don't even rotate. My issue is that i dont have my recpit, i bought it from a Gamestop (80g) for $500. I am very displeased because i took amazing care of my ps3. Out of no where it stoped working, right as im at the end of MGS4. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Did you buy the extended play warranty from gamestop? If you did their computer can tell if you purchased it from them or not. Check with them and see. Also if you paid for it with a credit card you can get a bill of sell from your credit card company or bank.

Have with you the serial number of your PS3 and they will find your receipt.

All i have is the ps3 system and box my dad threw all the papers that came with it away for some reason. Ill go into gamestop tomorrow and talk to them.

Paid by credit card? If you did Sony will take a copy of the credit card invoice.
I would call Sony and argue with them if they deny to replace it. The damn system hasn't even been out for a year! They have to replace it!
