PS3 HD Color Problem!

Hi, I got a big problem with my PS3. A little while ago, I only had the original audio/video cables and everything worked fine. Then I got some MadCatZ Component cables and when I turned the PS3 on the color of the menu has two different colors. I'm thinking its either the TV or the Cables but I don't have any other ones I can try. I don't have any idea what it could be. Any suggestions?

Perhaps it's the cables if your old composite AV cables still work fine on the same TV. I bought the official Sony Component AV cables and haven't had one problem. The only way to find out is only by using some other HD cable. If you can, return the madcatz for something else.

I also had somewhat of a similar problem with my SDTV. The side was damaged and part of the screen was a different color. After using a magnet to get the coils temporarily back to normal the color was fine, but I had to do this everytime I started the TV. I wouldn't know what an LCD would be like in that situation, but just saying.

From your picture I cannot seem to see the difference in colour. However I believe the TV you are using has several different settings that may be worth fiddling with (Game Modes, Film Modes and so on).

You have to set your TV to Component out looking at the picture its either on R.G.B OR S-Video look in the settings your find it

Thanks for all the suggestions. The problem was finally found! The actual component plug-in in the TV was fried. So I'm going to return the TV tomorrow and get a new Sony one ..
