Hello everybody,

I bought my 40GB PS3 system fro America, and I recently bought a G-dog component cable, and hoked up my console to my PC montor. But now I'm having a problem with the image. The quality of the image is good, but every single white pixel has a purple "shwadow" about a centimeter to the right of it. For example the icons on the map of GTA4, everyone of them has that "shadow". I'm having the same problem with every single game I have and XMB.

Is the problem with the cable? I've read on other forums about problems with the G-dog's cable. It's the cheapest one that you can get.

I got as monittor LG's Flatron 24".

All you can do is get another set of component cable. If the new set does not produce the same shadow then its the G-Dog.
Process of elimination my friend. That's all you can do.

Before I buy the cable, could someone tell me, if the PS3 uses the same pins in the Multi-AV output for component and composite video? Becose the output works with the composite cable that came with the console.

Edit: No need to answer, i got it from Wikipedia. It's no in case someodoby is wondering.
