make sure that you have the 360 plugged into the channel one of your pci card. i would bet that this is the issue. channel one is the sata slot closest to the front of the pc case.

You are ignorant, foul mouthed, bang out of order, abusive, oh and you have a downright nerve to even think you know what i think, never mind to have the cheek to speak for me. I don't 'hate' anybody, my comments to homesick or anyone else are never personal.
You are excused. Make sure to bang your head on the way out.

I realise this may be an obvious thing to say but you are swiching the 360 on and off for a few seconds aren't you?
I only ask as i did a benq drive yesterday and it does get stuck on 0x7F but you have to switch the 360 off for a few seconds and then switch it on again.

The tut that i followed said that i dont switch it on until i have pressed y and then the status 0x7F comes up, after 2 seconds it is supposed to start flickering between d1 and something else, then you turn it off for 2 secs and back on and it reads banks but it doesnt change from 0x7F

you're just spinning your wheels here dude... as I said I had the exact same problem... it was as if the computer or add on sata controller would not recognise the benq drive so I couldnt do a dump..same as you.

If you're not sure what driver to tell him to install don't bother posting and maybe making his problem worse.

it should automatically find your card and when it asks you to install, go to the drivers and select that, and make sure u dont download the RAID.

I had the same problem in the waiting 2 second trick with my Benq Drive and the pci card 6421. It didn't work, whether I counted 2 seconds or had a timer.
Eventually, it worked after pressing yes, then turned it off/on very quickly.
I have both backed up my original bin and flashed the custom firmware and am able to play back up's with no problems.
Maybe it's the version of benq that I'm using. Mine was manufactured in November 2007. Try the quick on/off suggestion as I did. Hope it works for you.
