If I buy an I-Phone and a PS3 from Hong kong, will it work in Australia?

i m going to hongkong for a holiday and i heard that electronics are really cheap so if i get a PS3 from there....will it work in Australia????

yes they are region free so are the games but watch out because certain content from the online psn store MAY NOT WORK because it is region coded. (like the COD4 Map packs)

Your IPhone will work in Australia but you will have to hack it to work with your local cellphone carrier.
Your PS3 should also work regardless if you bought the PS3 in hong kong. PS3 games are not region locked(for now) but movies are. Also keep in mind that if something does happen to your PS3 and you call Sony. You may be referred to the region as to where you bought your PS3.
We had a fella here not too long ago complaining that Sony was giving him a hard time servicing his PS3. He was I believe in New Zealand and when he called he was told that since he did not buy the PS3 in New Zealand he had to deal with tech support in the region he bought his PS3 from.

will hacking the Iphone be hard? ...coz i m not to good at computers and stuff :P

and i heard that Hong kong, USA and a few other countries are NTSE but australia, new zealand and all are PAL.....will this make any difference?...i will be using the PS3 mainly to play games...

Well if your going to purchase a PS3 from HK then I'd get GTA4 while I am there. If you get GTA in Australia there's a good chance that it will not work as R* has GTA4 region locked. Also Sony will be launching a greatest hits line soon so you MAY get cheap games soon.
So far the list of games that will be on the greatest hits line up are:
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Moto Storm
Fight Night Round 3
Resistance Fall of Man
Rainbow 6 Vegas
Assassins Creed
Warhawk
Im sure theres a few more games that I missed.
