Can someone explain to me why I can't use DVD Shrink to copy DVD5 disks?

How exactly is DVD Shrink not copying a DVD-5? Your question is about as vague as possible and we need more specific information about what exact problems you are encountering.

Hi guys,

Hey Da Vinci It just helps sooo much more with lots of info! Gee, for all we know you are putting a CD into your DVD burner upside down. Or in this case I could say you don't know how to use the program, Your computer is junk, and you don't have the right kind of attitude.

Just kidding, of course!!

Shrink can decrypt and compress DVDs. DVD-5s need no compression so select "no compression". Then select backup. Shrink will then install your decrypted files onto your hard drive, ready to be burned with a burning program. If you have Shrink 3.1.4, you can have Nero auto burn for you.

If you want to do the whole thing with DVD Decrypter, that will work as well. Select the ISO read and then the ISO write modes.

This answer is assuming a lot of things. :D

thanks for the input.

I guess my query was confusing. Let me rephrase.

I was wondering why the download area suggested using DVD Shrink for DVD-9 and using Decrypter for DVD-5.

I meant it to be a technical question rather that a "I don't know how" type question.

I think that's because there seems to be a preference in decryptors compression technique for small compressions, whereas DVD Shrink is meant to be better at compressing on a larger scale, but i've never noticed, i just use shrink for everything, lol.
