Help linking my ps3 to my laptops mobile internet connection

I have 3g mobile internet on my laptop. So my laptop connects to the internet via my mobile internet dongle. I dont have broadband within my home and therefore no router. I have bought a cable to connect my ps3 to my laptop, but i cant get my ps3 to connect to the internet so i can play online. Can anyone help me please?

i tried the same thing. not work. even if you get a router and want to share the internet conection in a local network, wil not be posible cause you can not bridge the freackn 3g internet whit the home network. damn. if someone else know otherwise.. please , let us know in more detailes.

there is no way since the ethernet port in your laptop is only an incoming port, you would have to buy a computer with two ethernet ports, one outgoing and one incoming to do what you want to do.(might only be found on ASUS motherboards)

you should post this in the PC thread, they might have more options

wrong. you can share the internet on the laptop. you will need to bridge the connection. people who have 360s uses the technique.
