What would be the best way to get a 9Gb vob/m2ts file onto a ps3. As I'm not sure, could I just do it with an external hard/flash drive. Or would I have to stream it across my network to the ps3.

Wrong, the ps3 only reads external devices with a fat32 format, the fat32 format has a file size limitation of 4gb's. The only realistic way to physically get a file that big it on the ps3 is to use a dvd9 with the udf format. If you want to stream a vid of that quality your computer would have to be very powerful.

@keeprolin
Your sig doesn't work because you made a mistake in the url. You have it as .jpp it should be .jpg

Heres the proper address: http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/1540/fortytwosigcopy4to.jpg

And heres your sig

I know you can copy it from a media server. Can it be done through TVersity? I've only copied music through TVersity - nothing huge. But I had my Popcornhour hooked up to my router one day and it popped up on my PS3 as a media server. I was able to transfer a 6GB movie onto my PS3 HDD over my wireless network.

I would have to agree about the streaming though. Depending on the quality of the video, it may stream ok, but I doubt you will like the results of a m2ts stream. I streamed a SD movie (direct full vob rip using DVD Decrypter) over my wireless network and it played fine. The only drawback I saw was that when streaming, I couldn't seek. It wasn't that there was lag. The PS3 menu had the seek options disabled. Not sure what that was about. Maybe it was something I was doing wrong?

Anywhoo...you can transfer a large file to the PS3 HDD through a media server.
