I want to know what would the problem be if a disc is not being accepted by the ps3. Goes about halfway and thats it. Is it a motor, should i realign the gears or adjust or whatever its called. Is it a sensor.... just need to know how to diagnose a problem like this.
ps: if you are going to say, call sony, that doesn't help. There should be a rule against only saying call sony because that is common sense.
Not good, try again. Maybe if I referred to my ps3 as a she and couldn't pronounce my S's then it would be she's not taking my di.c all the way... maybe....
Maybe you're not pushing it in hard enough... if you know what I mean.
Nah, but that might actually be it. I know my PS3 sometimes gets finicky about accepting discs. Sometimes I have to be a bit more gentle, sometimes it likes it rough.
...dude, what the fuck?
But seriously. Do you hear the disc loading sound at all? Or does it just, like... have a disc condom?
i put the condom on it so it wont explode all over her... had to say it. Umm, its at my cousins, hes trying to see it so i gotta go look at it tomorrow.
edit: while im here, my friends ps3 doesnt show video and i told him to do the reset thing and it still doesn't work. Is the mobo fried or is it a small component that i could fix? No audio either if that helps. We did try another wire, another tv, etc.
Is there any clicking 'cumming' from the drive? (I fell like a 6 year old)... mine wouldn't load and had clicking sound. I had to take it apart and mess with the loading arms, but ended up working.
supposed to be feel like a 6 year old.... but I type like a 6 year old. Any way here's a link to a thread I was reading to help correct the disc loading problem. Hope it helps you.
Anyway, if it's just not accepting anything at all, then chances are those lil' doo-hickies at the very front of the drive are broken. Y'know, those loading springs or whatever they are.
the assembly comes up as the disc is inserted so its misaligned when the disc inserts then the laser comes up but its outta place hits the disc and stops and rejects
