also depends on your quality of blank media. I use Verbatim DVD-Rs, every game works perfectly.
GurillaX,
I found what caused the problem. It has nothing to do with the quality of blank media. It all has to do with the ISOs. I ran wiibrickblocker(WBB) on all iso. Apparently that is not the right thing to do for every ISO. only if the iso is not tampered. As WBB doesn't check for anything, it just goes and overwrites certain data without checking. So, the ISOs get read errors. If ISO is from DVD9 to DVD5, i would highly recommend not to use WBB. It will result in read error. For DVD5 to DVD5, you have to be sure it is a direct dump to use WBB.

Hope this helps.

oh, right, thanks for clearing that up
you know, I've never used WBB on any of my ISOs, I just burn and play with out any problems ever^^

@Elmadhoun
yes. but it depends, did you install the october 23rd update?
if so, then you can't install WADs, but there is a work-around to the october 23rd update on this site, check it out.
if you didn't install the update, then you can using WAD Manager.

assuming that you have the Homebrew Channel installed and working.
make a folder on the root of you SD Card and call it 'apps'. Make a folder in there called 'WAD Manager'.
download WAD Manager[the latest one] and put the boot.dol in the 'WAD Manager' folder that you created.
if there is a .dol file in the download but it isn't called boot.dol, rename it.

3. Take your homebrew Wii executable (elf or dol file) and save it in the root directory of your SD card as "boot.elf" or "boot.dol" as appropriate.

I don't get this part. Is .elf or .dol the actual Wii game?

I haven't tried it yet but I thought it would be better if I ask first. You can never be too cautious :-)
Everything is installed and working perfectly well on my Wii. My question is can I still play online?

I have wiigator 0.3 GAMMA, and i would like to know if i will be able to play dvd9s. Super smash bros brawl is dvd9 and i dont want the dvd5 version with only one cutscene. I have a 3.3u wii and everything is working as i used the oct23 fix. If gamma does support dvd 9 disks, should I use dvd-r dual layer or dvd+r dual layer. Im not sure if + or - is better. Thanks for your help. :)

Just installing the homebrew channel will not make backups work. You have to install the cIOS and use a boot launcher to boot the backups.

Thanks for the reply larrylje... I should have done a little more on my post. It was a late night and I was way too vague. I have the HBC and the cISO installed properly but when I load the wiigator and try and boot the disc I get the error message. I'm going to try the wiigator gamma and see what happens. Does anyone know what cIOS I have to use?

I have followed the Tutorial on the first page with success on a Wii with 3.3 Pal Firmware.

But the same procedure on a Wii with firmware 3.1 did not give the same results. The files successfully ran but a disk that worked on the first machine failed to work on the second. Suspect this might be down to just media and Wii internal drive.

Has any one else tried this on a Wii with firmware 3.1?

Wii Firmware 3.3
Wii Firmware 3.1
Playstation 3 60GB Japanese
Playstation 3 60GB UK
Playstation 3 40GB UK
Xbox 360 core + 20GB HD + Wireless card
