Hi there not going to beat around the bush the good news is I managed to get a new 80gig ps3, so at least I am back up and running.
But need some advice or some do's and not to do's with this media streaming software.
What happened was I had it all working and was able to watch videos and listen to mp3's etc all fine, also was able to download straight to the ps3 harddrive, but the next day I woke to a message saying problem with harddrive being corrupt and needs updating. So did that and then same message, so after a phone call I found the harddrive was knacked and managed to get a new console.
I am now though scared to set it back up encase the same issue arises, but I don't know what I have done wrong, is there a way to turn things off so you don't corrupt the harddrive as in, swith off the pc/tversity and then the ps3? and instead of turning off the ps3 at the back just put it to stand by?
Please help me regain my confidence in using this software and making use of my 80gig ps3, or give me an alternative.....
It was probably somethign that you copied over that was corrupted and prevented the hdd from working. Best thing to do is just stream from your PC and anything you want to copy to your hdd try adding it from a usb drive.
I meant something you copied to the hard drive became corrupt, with streaming you can turn the ps3 off anytime, its when you are saving to a hdd that you shouldnt turn off the hdd.
You can leave tversity on and switch off the ps3 nothing will happen. I always have the media server on even when my ps3 is off. though im still having problem with some anime files which crash tversity and needs the server restarted.
