Hi,

I recently bought a PS3 (beautiful device!) and was planning on using it as my digital media player.

I have a Lacie NAS DLNA Drive that serves as a Media Server which the PS3 sees without problem (also my PC)

I use DVDFab to Rip all my DVDs into this drive (ALL AUDIOS and ALL SUBTITLES). I can use my PC to view the movies without a problem and can use Windows Media Center to select my languages and subs while on playback (like a regular DVD)

I noticed the PS3 is able to play directly my VOB files (no conversion necessary, nice!), but is not capable of letting me select audio/sub or skip chapters (sometimes does not pick english as the default language but jumps into french).

Seems logical to me that if the PS3 can plan DVDs with this file structure on a DVD disc, why can't it play in on a Hard drive?

anyway, just wanted to know if there is a way to have all my files in DVD (VOB) format and play them on my PS3 with the ability to switch languages and subtitles during playback.

or at least have a file format that contains 1 audio file but will give me the ability to select subs on playback.
