Anyone have any feedback on why the hell this film doesn't work on my console? I just rented it, tried two different discs. It goes to the menu, then when I hit play it goes through a couple small screens then jumps back to the menu again.... I am using it with a projector. Just kind of lost right now...
Its a blu-ray disc. After I select "play movie", it goes to that 20th century fox screen or whatever it is, then there is a small circle of circles twirling around like its thinking. Then it just goes back to the menu again...
Works fine on mine - 6ogb UK PS3 playing blu ray disk. After the whirling lights, you get the menu screen - think you've either been unlucky with your disks or perhaps your drive is on the way out.

Thanks !
If your projector does not have HDCP I don't think it will play. Does this problem occur with all BDs or just The Happening?
BTW, unless you are an avid Shyamalan fan, The Happening is not worth the rent. I've liked all of his flicks, even Lady in the Water, except this one. All of the bad reviews you may have read, they are true.
Hi, I have the same problem..
Brought the PS3 about 6 months ago. Brought The Happening from Heathrow on 4th Oct 2008. After I select "play movie", it goes to that 20th century fox screen or whatever it is, then there is a small circle of circles twirling around like its thinking. Then it just goes back to the menu again...
My PS3 is not connected to the Internet and the cable to the TV is the one supplied with the PS3.
...sorry, I couldn't resist. Do you know if whoever produces the BDs (Paramount? New Line? What?) has released anything regarding the issue? It seems like a faulty disc... or something.
