Extremely frustrated with PS3 network/password and account

I am trying to change my credit card information via the PS3 network/store. For the love of god I have tried everything. I am currently signed in but when I try to change billing etc all i ever get is password screen. I then continually get wrong password information error. In the meantime I changed my password on the PS3 website. I can't even sign out of the PS3?? I never see this option? When I click the "triangle" once my username is hilighted the only options I get are Status===>Online or Not Available? then underneath i see Comment and Profile.

What on earth is happening? Anybody have any suggestions?

Do you have your current account set up to log in automatically?
All I can suggest is this. Create another account (you can make it a sub or primary. doesn't really matter). Once the "new account is created log on to it. This will log you out of the account you are currently logged on the PS3. If this does not work then call Sony.

Yes I did have an automatic log-in. Since the update I see no place on the screen to signout and no way of changing my account information *sigh* I am on the phone with Playstation: this girl is absolutely NO HELP! I have asked for tech support. On hold now and no idea if she actually is putting me through to this dept or not. Screw SONY!

Did you try creating a new account? I have verified that even though your logged on to your current user name you can still create an account. I'm almost 100% sure that if you in fact created another account and log into if after. It should log you out of the account that your currently logged in the PS3. This should solve your problem with not being able to log out of your PS3.
The option to log out of your PS3 is in the "Playstation Network" part of the XBM. Select the account managament icon, press triangle and this should give you the option to log out.

Yes and that worked. :) Finally solved. I have no idea why this occurred. The new update changed alot of things. I don't think I can sign out anymore. Anyways it's all better now-thanks!

Go to your sign in name (all the way to the left) OR go to the PSN area (where you would select sign in) and press triangle and select log out
