i know it doesn't have wifi built in but is it possible to plug a usb wifi adapter and it'll work?

my modem=Netgear DG834GT. it came with a wifi usb thing so yeah.
anyone tried??

Short answer is No. To date there has been no plans for any firmware to support a Wifi USB adapter.

If you're a daring soul you can use a laptop with wireless and make a bridged connection to the lan port and plug the PS3 into there. I ended up doing this after a failed system update rendered my wi-fi useless (the next update brought it back to life).

I've got a 20gb PS3 and I used to bridge it to my laptop with very little success. I constantly had connection interruptions and lag. In the end, I made a 200 ft Ethernet cable and hardwired it to my router. I used to start countless threads just like this one, trying to find an answer to this problem. I have tried just about every suggestion and solution that people suggested. So take it from me, as someone who was in your exact position, hard wired is the only way to go.

Why cant you use a Wirless-G Access Point connected to your PS3 Ethernet Port? I dont have a 20gig. Do they have an Ethernet Port?

I used one in the past but it was not much better than going through my laptop. I have heard some people say that they have success with an access port but i didn't work for me. It would be the second best option, first being straight to the router.
