hello i need help with my ps3.
i played mgs and then the game stuck i turned off my ps3 and then i tried again and the system cannot read any disc i see the blue light and the bubble in the right corner but i dont see the disc icon there is any way to fix it or i need to go to sony to repair it
i have ps3 40gb firmware 2.50

Hi.that has happened me twice.luckily enough both times where within the year and the shop replaced it straight away.they said there where alot of 40gb coming back so they gave me the 80 g.so unless you can bring it back to the shop i would say yes you will have to send it back to sony

Absolutely give it to Sony if you're under warranty.

If you're out of warranty (as I was), then you're in for a fun ride!! There are dozens of threads about laser failures and no disk spin issues.

i bought mine in best buy and im not from usa but my dad is going there so they will replace it for me
