I've had a PS3 for a long time and I don't know which games I should get. I already have:
MGS4
Def Jam: Icon
Virtua Tennis 3
NBA Street Homecourt
Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction
Motorstorm

I want a shooter that has a good single player mode and a good online mode too. I have rarely played shooters on the PS2 so I am pretty bad at them. So hopefully a game that is easy, helps you learn FPS.
For example, out of all the FPS that I've played, Halo 1 is probably my favorite. A game like that would be nice.

Not that mcla is a bad game but I was disappointed in it, there isn't as much customization as in the mc3d and the car list is tiny for a next gen racing game.

The thing that I hate the most would be the ai, its got a massive rubberband effect.

What do you mean by the "rubberband effect"

I am currently playing the game on PSP and I have to say the graphics look amazing on that system. I might though wait for NFS Undercover to come out before I make a decision, that game by trailers looked better.

How are the graphics in MCLA?

The graphics are decent but nothing special, the environmental graphics are better than the car graphics.

By rubberband effect I mean the computer cars, if behind you, suddenly act like they're driving a supercar instead of a pos 240sx to catch upto you. Most racing games use it but it is just outragous in mcla.

Yea, I kinda did notice that in MCLA Remix for the PSP but I thought it was just because I was crashing too much :D

How do you think NFS Undercover will be?

I personally don't have MCLA on the PS3, but I have it for the 360, and I too am disappointed with it. I don't know if it's just for the 360, but the game has trouble rendering all the graphics when playing. So when I'm in a race, I'll be going pretty fast, but the road will start to cover my car, like I am getting hit by a wave of water. But a good PS3 game is Little Big Planet. I've been playing the hell out of it, and I'm still not bored of it. With all the user created levels, you can play that game for a while!

I don't know about LBP, I've heard good things about it but I'd rather try it before I buy it. Its like Patapon for the PSP. I got it without trying it and I didn't like it despite the good reviews.

What is LBP about?

I've played Patapon on the PSP, and it's nothing like it! Those 2 games are way way different!

There isn't really much of a story to the game, it's more of just figuring out how to beat the level. Like a puzzler. And the user-created maps are just amazing!

I fired up LBP last night for the first time, so I can't give an in-depth review. But from what I've done so far, it's definitley innovative and enjoyable. The puzzles are fun and interesting and I was immersed in the spectacular environments. There is definitely a lot of substance behind the flash. It's a new concept to me, and that is what I've been looking for and I would say that it's a clever, solid game. May not be everyone's cup of tea. I've been looking for a game that broke the mold in terms of character movement and choices. While I'm not a hardcore gamer and will not spend insane amounts of time with this game, it satisfies my curiosity in terms of what the next gen can really bring.

Tonight I'm going to try to advance to the point where I can start creating, because right now, I'm still learning the basics. I think it would appeal to the adult gamer who is looking for mental stimulation, but it has the benefit of being a solid game for kids (which I'm happy about). I want to steer my kids away from the classic 3D beat-em-ups (at least for a little while) to something that will challenge them. Environment and character manipulation and customization is a better alternative IMO than trying to figure out how to jump over a ledge and kill and enemy. Other puzzle-type games like Echochrome and Pixeljunk Eden don't really appeal to them, and lesser known PSN games don't really clasify as something I would spend money on, even if only $5.

If you want a good shooter then wait for COD world at war. Dont waste money on farcry 2 like I did that game sucks...

Got voted the best FPS...as stated on the back of the game case. Boy did I fall for that one lol who voted anyways?

The game has the right idea...freedom to do whatever with cool effects like grass burning and trees moving when you shoot at it and stuff like that but the game has a really amatuerish feel to it.

Heres why:

1. Movements are wayyyyy too loose I had to turn the sensitivity down to the min just so I wouldnt get a headache.
2. Guns dont sounds realistic and you pretty much have to empty a clip in a dudes face just to kill him.
3. You can hear enemies talking really loud when looking for you even tho they are like a 100 yards away.
4. Ur character has malaria so you pass out like every 10 mins or after you sprint too long and have to go find medicine....annoying as hell.
5. Ur machette weilds like a paint brush. You just gracefully drag it across an enemy it doesnt even look like it connects....lame.
6. Prepare to drive forever and getting lost due to the gps being small and not knowing exactly where you are suppost to go. Oh and guards at checkpoints just shoot at you for no reason.

Sorry for ranting I just really wish I didnt buy this game. And this game was compared to COD4 on EGM as being equal if not better....BS!

PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)
