IMPORTANT PS3 QUESTION

i have been wondering, when your ps3 is on is it bad for the system over time to hard reboot it or in other words click the power switch while still on without holding the button untill it beeps. does it do damage to the system or not?

DONT EVER DO THAT!!! That is unless you dont mind (possibly) screwing up your system. Shutting down your PS3 like that is just like shutting down your computer like that. Your PS3 reads from a hard drve which means if you shut it down and your PS3 is reading something you could potentially corrupt or destroy that information. This is the reason there is a warning when you are saving your game... you know the one that says "Warning dont shut off your system while saving." That is basically because you could corrupt your save or possibly do serious harm to your hard drive.

thats what i thought but i dont mean turning it off when its saving i mean like say ur just sitting in the X media bar just chinlling and then turn it off not while saving or anything. thanks for the info.
