Hi there,
Im currently trying to backup a sports dvd without much luck. All is going well through the process using DVD shrink until it comes to the burning stage when i get "illegal disc error" from nero. I can burn discs fine with the media i am using when i use roxio but no luck with nero. My burner is an NEC ND-1300A with 1.8 firmware. I have done a seach as to this error and all i came up with was that i may not have an aspi installed. I installed this but the problem still persists! Please help as i am making a serious amount of coasters here!!!!
Below is the log from nero.....

You probably have a conflict between Nero and Roxio, thats not uncommon. I would uninstall the Roxio and re-boot.

Nero has these driver cleaner and registry checker tools to help get things sorted.

Heres one that explains the log file:

http://www.nero.com/en/631939497433315.html

You might want to get some R/W discs to use while you sort this out.
Also check for Roxio CD Creator, thats known to cause conflicts with Nero.
